Java Photo Album

Shorty after the Japanese capitulation on Java, September 1945, a photographer from Surabaya, Nikola Drakulic   visited a number of camps on mid Java  and left a valuable record of images. It is now stored in the archives of the Hague accessible by clicking on the link.: Photo album.

Mr.Drakolic took the trouble of providing annotations in Dutch and English.  He also helpfully added a few “before and after pictures   of a few individuals: Before the war and in September 1945
